Welcome to Lost in Switzerland

First of all, let me say "hi" and welcome to my blog. If you want to know more about me or about this site that you just landed on, let me introduce myself and tell you how I came up with the idea for Lost in Switzerland. And for everyone else, keep scrolling to find out what you can expect to find around here...😊

Tips for getting around Switzerland

I've written a lot of posts and pages that focus on the subject of getting around Switzerland. And that's because of two things:

  1. I used to work as a traffic planner, so everything transport and traffic-related holds a certain fascination for me.
  2. I love to travel and have been around the world more than once. So I know that one of the pain points in every trip is figuring out how to get from one place to another with the right ticket.

If you're curious about my transport tips, check out my special Getting around Switzerland page.

Itineraries

"I'm coming to Switzerland for 5 days. What can I do while I'm there?

This is only one of the many itinerary-related questions that reached my inbox after I started this blog. As important as this question is, it isn't one that can be answered in a few minutes. Since these requests kept piling up, I decided to take action and to put together a series of ebooks that have one goal:

  • To tell you what is possible to see in Switzerland in X amount of days.

The result is a collection of 8 ebooks with a total of 105 itineraries. If this is something you're interested in, visit my itinerary page.

General travel tips

Of course, my blog doesn't only consist of itineraries and travel posts. I have put together a series of other articles that might come in handy if you plan a trip to Switzerland. Whether you're looking for free things to do in Switzerland, a guide on Swiss supermarkets, chocolate or cheese factories or our most beautiful mountain lakes, visit my blog page to find everything I've posted since I launched Lost in Switzerland.

What people say...

I discovered Seraina’s blog while planning my first trip to Switzerland. As a mountain lover, hiking was at the top of my list, and I found Seraina's comprehensive hiking guide incredibly helpful. Her posts on the Swiss train system were lifesaving - and money-saving too! 😉 I am super grateful to Seraina for compiling all this information, and I highly recommend her blog to anyone planning a visit to this beautiful country.

I love your blog and it makes me want to go to Switzerland again and see many of the attractions that I missed on my last journey. I plan to take my husband, two daughters, two sons in law, three grandchildren and one great grand son. We plan to use public transportation which Seriana has said can be done.
